Higher Education courses under the new Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) include Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Doctor Degree (PhD).
Applicants must have relevant employment experience and/or be currently employed in a relevant field of work for entry to these courses.
A Bachelor Degree is awarded on completion of a course at a professional level, usually requiring the equivalent of at least three years full-time study. It is a higher education sector award. It provides entry to postgraduate study, such as Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas.
A Bachelor Degree with Honours is awarded on completion of an extra research-based year on top of the relevant Bachelor Degree at Pass level. It is a common entry pathway to a Master Degree.
