The enhancement of specific professional or vocational skills which may be undertaken by directed coursework, involving more than one third of the course undertaken by coursework.
Higher Education courses are generally offered by universities, who accredit their own courses. Higher Education courses under the new Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) include Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Doctor Degree (PhD).
A Bachelor Degree is awarded on completion of a course at a professional level, usually requiring the equivalent of at least three years full-time study. It is a higher education sector award. It provides entry to postgraduate study, such as Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas.
A Graduate Diploma is a postgraduate course, usually requiring the equivalent of one year full-time study. It may provide entry to a Master Degree in a related field of study, and forming the first year of the Master program.
Accounting, administration, banking, business, distribution & storage, economics, evaluation, finance, government administration, home economics, import & export, industrial relations, management (not agricultural or rural), marketing, personnel management, real estate, sales, secretarial studies, small business, sports administration.
This level includes Graduate Certificate, Vocational Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Vocational Graduate Diploma, Master Degree and Doctor Degree. (Note that the Vocational qualifications are new and few in number).

Please note that the MBA, GDipBA, GCBA full time program commences each year in early to mid-January. Supporting documentation is required for all applications: official transcripts of previous studies; evidence of work experience including details of management experience in the form of a CV; two written references, one of which must be work related; and evidence of residency status.
